Kilcreggan Circular

Kilcreggan Car Park through Rosneath Caravan Park to Rosneath Village and back along High Kilcreggan to Kilcreggan School and back along Argyll Road.

Terrain: Grass track, grassy hillside, forest track and tarmac road.

Distance: 12 km, duration: 4 ½ hrs,  total ascent 100 m to max. ht. 100m.

Milngavie/Strathblane Circular

Starts with the first 8km of the West Highland Way and returns via Mugdock Country Park.     

Terrain: Good tracks and paths, some wet bits.

Distance: 17 km, duration 4 ½ hrs, total ascent 172 m to max. ht. 134m.

Start point: Car park in Milngavie just under bridge on Mugdock Road. OS Map 64,  Explorer 342, grid ref: NS 552 746.

Knockupple(photo)

Through forest tracks followed by a short stretch of trackless moorland, which can be very wet, to summit of Knockupple.  Return route, conditions permitting, will be around Knockupple Gorge then retracing steps along forest track.

Terrain: Forest track and trackless moorland, likely to be wet.

Distance: 14 km, duration 4 hrs, total ascent 230m  to max. ht. 343m.

Beinn Tharsuinn and Beinn Chaorach

Linear walk to Beinn Chaorach taking in the tops of Beinn Tharsuinn and Auchengaich hill.

Terrain: Trackless hill, likely to be wet and windy.

Distance: 8 km, duration 4 ½ hrs, total ascent 600 m to max ht. 713 m.
