Mountain track following the ridge.

Mostly grassy ridge with a few rocky sections.

Glen Luss from Loch Lomond
From the Luss Car Park, we’ll go through tranquil Glen Luss as far as the disused farm house at Gleann na Caorainn and return the same way.
Terrain:
The walk starts on a quiet metalled road which goes fairly steadily up to a height of about 200m. After about 4 km, the road gives way to paths and rough tracks which undulate through the glen. The paths can be wet.
Distance: 16 km,
duration approx 4½ hrs, total ascent 200m to max. ht 200m.
Start point: Luss car park.

It is emphasised that ‘A’ grade walks are strenuous and should
only be attempted by those with high standards of fitness and stamina and
who are also properly equipped and clothed for the conditions.
Leaders will quite properly turn away those who do not meet these standards
as they could create difficulties or danger for other members of the group. |

A moorland walk south along the WHW and north on rising moorland.

Foot path southbound, wet moorland northbound.

A mixture of forest and open moorland with some good views but with some steep ascents and descents without scrambling.
Terrain:
Forest roads and rough paths through heather, later some open grassland.
Distance: 13½ km,

Start point: Braeval car park, 0.7 miles from Rob Roy junction on A81
Callendar road
(about 45mins drive from H’burgh).
